I really like this design. The offset soldering pads make it really easy to solder thicker wires to the race wire boards. They also feature “vias” –  which look like small holes in the pads. These are actually a physical connection between the pad on top and deeper layers of the circuit board and they prevent the pad lifting away from the board when soldering under high temperatures.
