For 4 inch go with a 4S battery. If you want to use 6S you might as well build a 5 Inch. This build will give you a lighter-weight and smaller 4 Inch with much the feel of a 5 inch freestyle.
This is the best frame currently on the market for 4 inch freestyle. The best frame was the CM The Shocker, but that’s not available anymore.
Going with a 4 inch you get a lighter smaller quad than with a 5 inch. Unfortunately you need to go with T-Mount props in a build with this these sized motors. That’s just the nature of the beast. Also no 04 support for this quad but for 03 or Walksnail it’s perfect.
This Nazgul frame has 20×20 M3 mounting for the FC and both of these flight controllers have M4 holes with dampeners for M2 and M3 mounting. 35 to 40 Amps is adequate for 4 Inch.
For 4 inch freestyle there are really only 2 choices for motor size – 2004 or 1806. Either one you choose, for 4S the KV range should be between 3000 and 3300KV. From my experience, the best choice is 2004 at 3000KV.

This is the best prop for 4 inch. The same prop as used by other well respected 4 inch frames like the HGLRC Sector 4, AvionRC Nexa 4 EVO and the Catalyst Machineworks Shocker 4

This frame comes with two 16 x 250mm battery straps. It’s fine but if you prefer a single 20mm battery strap then these options are good.
For 850-950mAh 4S batteries use a Diatone 20x200mm strap.
For 1000-1200mAh 4S batteries use a GepRC 20x220mm strap.
